- All Track used is either Atlas Flex track or Atlas pre-made curves and straights.
- On the main layout, I used no road base. In room 2, I used the new foam road base. (Which I would not recommend).
- All turnouts are Peco turnouts except 1. All are # 6's except 2 Peco #4's going out from the yard.
- All turnouts from the yard and on the east wall are switched using piano wire underneath the layout
- 1 Sinahara curved turnout with an electric switch machine
- All pine trees are made by my wife and me, from green and brown scouring pads and toothpicks then sprinkled with green foam.
- Some Aspen trees were made by me using baby's breath and paint. The Aspen trees on the mountain were made from dried ?? painted white with specks, then used the ground netting foam and went around the tree while stretching the net. Most of them turned out 2-D but when many trees are together up on a mountain it is hard to tell.
- Some roads are 400 or 600-grit sandpaper, and others are plaster.
- 450' bridge was scratch-built by me using some balsa wood, mostly basswood. (did not keep track of the hours I spent. - my wife says the 5-year bridge.)
- Sidewalks are made from grey cardboard (Radio Shack packages) and balsa wood.
- Most of the background pictures of either mountains or buildings (city) came from magazines.
- The layout base is mostly particleboard. Hanged from L brackets from the wall.
- The Base in the closets is particleboard mounted with braces underneath.
- The base for room 2 is melamine shelving boards using the "Grip Brackets" to hide the wires and support the shelf.
- Buildings are either kits, kit-bashed, used buildings, prebuilt, or scratch-built. also, mix and match kits.
- Automobiles are N-scale size cars from Bachmann, lifelike, Classic Metal Works, and others, some are Micro Machines.
- Street signs are made from a computer.
- All towns, counties, streets, lakes, rivers, and businesses are named after family, friends, or pets.
